Vidya Plays In A Bengali Remake!

Vidya Balan, the “Kahaani” star has been playing in Begum Jaan, the remake of “Rajkahini,” a Bengali film directed by Srijit Mukherji, the National Award winner. In this movie, she will be seen in different get-ups, including Razia Sultana, Rani Lakshmi Bai and Mirabai. When asked about these avatars, the director says, "No, it's definitely not for a dream sequence.Some portions of the sequence are already in the cans and the rest will be filmed over the next few days." For this sequence, the team shoots in various historical places in Delhi. Rick Roy is the costume designer and Vidya had done a lot of homework for the roles, apart from participating in the workshop. She had taken horse riding lessons for the role. The director also says, "I offered her to use a body double but she insisted on riding herself and has done a fabulous job with it." Stay tuned for more updates!
