Today, she quit the party citing that she has been used for petty in-house politics. The 44-year-old actress got a ticket and contested in the Lok Sabha election, in just a few months after joining the party, but had lost to BJP. However, she managed to get 2, 41, 431 votes in the elections. Maharashtra Assembly polls are supposed to be held in coming October and Urmila’s resignation came as a shock.
