‘The Diplomat’ Set To Release On March 7

After a long time, John Abraham is set to entertain the audiences in another gritty role with ‘The Diplomat’.

Directed by Shivam Nair of ‘Special Ops’ fame, the movie is all set to release on 7 March, and will be co-produced by John Abraham. The espionage thriller is based on the journey of JP Singh, an Indian diplomat who worked in the High Commission of India situated in Pakistan. He was instrumental in the rescue of an Indian citizen Uzma Ahmed, who was kidnapped by her Pakistani beau based in Malaysia and forced to marry him at gunpoint.

The movie also marks the return of Sadia Khateeb to Bollywood after almost three years, her last film being Aanand L Rai’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Sadia had debuted with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘Shikara’, which turned out to be a box office washout. The film also stars Revathy, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, Jagjeet Sandhu, etc. There is also a surprise cameo of Subramaniam Jaishankar in the teaser, who is the current Minister of External Affairs for India.
