Looks like Aamir Khan cannot afford any more mistakes.
According to the recent reports, the much awaited collaboration of the actor with Rajkumar Hirani has been put on hold for now. This is because Aamir is not impressed with the draft screenplay, and wants the script to be better suited for a wholesome theatrical experience.
Rajkumar Hirani’s next venture is apparently based on the legendary filmmaker Dhundiraj Govindrao Phalke aka Dadasaheb Phalke, the pioneer of Indian cinema who released India’s first motion picture, Raja Harishchandra in 1913. Interestingly, SS Rajamouli is also backing a similar project, with NTR Jr. in the lead.
Though Aamir Khan finally managed to break his streak of flops with Sitaare Zameen Par, it didn’t become the earth shattering blockbuster he intended. Even his cameo appearance in the much awaited action drama Coolie turned out to be average. Aamir is also working on an emotional drama Lahore 1947, which will mark the reunion of Rajkumar Santoshi. The post production is currently on hold for reasons best known to only Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan is currently working on Mere Raho, which stars Junaid Khan and marks the Hindi debut of Sai Pallavi.
