AR Murugadoss Lauds Sonakshi Sinha!

“Akira,” the dream film of Sonakshi Sinha released today, amidst huge expectations. The film directed by “A R Murugadoss,” is a remake of Tamil film, Mouna Guru. Murugadoss speaks about his new venture. “Akira means Pure and Strong in Sanskrit. As I was impressed with the script of the Tamil film, I decided to remake in Hindi. I changed the protagonist to a female, where it was done by “Arulnithi” in Tamil. I thought it would be more powerful when a girl does. Initially, I planned to produce the film and asked the director of the original version, Kumar Santha to helm in Hindi. As he was busy in some other project, he was not interested in remaking. However, he felt happy when his hit film is being remade. Finally, I Chose Sonakshi Sinha to lead the film. I believed that she could do the role with perfection and she did it. She got trained in kickboxing and other martial arts for her role. With her wide eyes, she thrills everyone. Hope, the audiences would like her in Akira,” concludes Murugadoss.
