The vlogger turned actor is excited for this new venture, which will be directed by debutant director Sooriyaprathap S. Aparshakti also learnt Tamil for the same, and he hopes to mark his presence in Tamil cinema.

Root is a sci-fi crime thriller, which stars Gautham Ram Karthik in the lead role. Aparshakti will play a pivotal role, and this is his first non Hindi venture in his decade long career. Aparshakti had made his theatrical debut with Saat Uchakkey, which was scheduled for release in 2014, but was delayed until 2016.

Initially relegated to side roles, Aparshakti’s breakthrough role came with two back to back projects : a direct-to-OTT movie Berlin, where he played the role of a sign language instructor, and the web series Jubilee, where he played the role of a projectionist turned actor Binod Das, loosely inspired from the life of Kumudlal Kanjial Ganguly, better known as Ashok Kumar Ashok Kumar hails from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. >> Read More... .
