is back with the ‘SCAM’ franchise!
Having delivered an OTT blockbuster with ‘Scam 1992’, Hansal Mehta is back on the director’s chair for the third installment of ‘SCAM’ series. This time, his target is Subrata Roy, the former business tycoon who managed Sahara India. Recently the trailer for ‘SCAM 2010’ was launched, which would cover the life, the glamor and the controversies that surrounded Subrata Roy, also known as ‘Saharashri’. Born to an upper middle class family in Araria in 1948, Subrata Roy launched Sahara India, which turned into a huge empire which included over a township, print and celluloid media, and had its own IPL team as well. Sahara was not only well known in both politics, as well as the film industry, but also sponsored our Indian cricket team for more than a decade. The Time magazine had termed Sahara India Pariwar as “the second largest employer in India” after Indian Railways. However, in 2010, after SEBI found irregularities in its financial transactions, it was all downhill for Subrata Roy. As per several reports, Sahara India duped its investors of 25000 crores.
