Mahirul Qadri was born on 30th June 1906 in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. After passing the Aligarh Muslim University matriculation exam, he signed up to publish in the renowned Medina journal, which is based in Bijnor. In addition, he began editing several other journals and newspapers. He also resided in Bombay while working for the well-known Bijnaur-published journal Medina. He moved to Pakistan after India was divided and began publishing a journal called Faaraan from Karachi, which quickly gained a solid reputation.
