Khan legendary classical and ghazal vocalist was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, British India, his father akhtar hussain Khan, was a renowned vocalist and a sarangi player, and he was born into a family of artist. Amanat Ali khan began learning the piano with the help of his father and quickly distinguished himself as a gifted muscian. In 1940’s, Amanat Ali Khan started his professional singing career. His deep and strong voice instantly made him recognize to his fans. He became well-know in 1950’s after taking first place in a famous singing contest held by all India radio.

He became well-know in Pakistan and India for his live performances and also for others. Amanat Ali Khan was famous for his proficiency in classical music as well as his capacity for evoke the intance feelings found in ghazals. He was equally adept at singing thumris, qawalis, and other types of classical Indian music. His performances were distinguished for his unique style, which mixed modern influencers with classical music traditions. Amanat Ali Khan immigrated to Pakistan in the 1960’s, were he continued his muscial career and rose to fam as one of the nation’s most - in demand vocalist’s.
