Sumbul Shahid is a Pakistani actress who is well-known for her character roles in TV Serials. She was born and brought up in Karachi. She is popular for her performance in Golden Girls. Sumbul Shahid is married to Major Shahid Nasir, who worked in the Pakistan army and had a son, Shiraz. Shiraz died while paragliding in Chitral. He was just 35 when he died.

In April 2021, Sumbul Shahid was affected by Coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital in Lahore and getting treatment for the same. Her sister, Bushra, confirmed the news and added that their mother had also tested positive for coronavirus along with her sister. Sumbul was kept on the ventilator due to breathing issues since 22nd April 2021. The medications didn’t help Sumbul Shahid survive and she lost the battle with the deadly virus and died on 6th May 2021. She was 64.
