Yawar Hayat Khan is a famous producer in Pakistan. He was born on 18 October 1943. He was the producer and director of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) from 1965 to 2004. Television in Pakistan started in 1964, after which he was considered one of the main architects of Pakistan's television drama serials in its early years. His primary education was completed at Aitchison College. After this, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Forman Christian College. He started his television career in 1965 with Pakistan Television Corporation. Where he directed the popular rural folk drama Jhok Siyaal (1973), written by Punjabi writer Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah. After this, he produced many famous serials like Samundar, Nasheman, Dehleez, Sahil, and Gumshuda. In 1998, Yawar received the Best Producer Award at the 9th PTV Awards.
