Rashid Maqsood Hamidi is a recognized producer, art enthusiast, art collector and author. He has had an interest in art ever since he was a teenager and grew up around people who were quite passionate about art. He started a career as a banker in 1977 and retired in 2015. During this period, ranging nearly four decades, he worked with prime banking institutions including American Express Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and more. Due to his profession Hamidi got to travel across several continents which gave him a rich insight into culture, art, life and work. Few countries he got to travel to and learn about include Bahrain, Venezuela and the UAE. He began his work on his book “The Reluctant Banker” around 2018, in which he recalls experiences and anecdotes from all his years. He was the executive producer for the short film “
