Jaffer developed an interest in music from his mother, and he used to play a toy piano as a child. After working hard over the years, he became famous and gained recognition as a pianist and primary vocalist of the classical music band “Kavish.” The band was formed in 1998 and comprised Maaz Maudood and Jaffer.

The band performed six years off-screen and released its first music video, ‘Bachpaan’, on music channels worldwide. Jaffer also appeared as a musician and featured artist in three seasons of a music reality series, ‘Coke Studio.’ With his hard work and determination, Jaffer progressed from house-band member to music director in Coke Studio. He made his debut as a music director and producer in season 9 of Coke Studio and under his supervision, led a team of singers. In season 10 of Coke studio, Jaffer made a comeback as a music director and performed the track Faasle, featuring Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch with his band. He is a master of piano and synthesizer. Jaffer is loved and admired by the melophiles of Pakistan.
