Adnan Kandhar is a Pakistani photographer, cinematographer, producer, and music video director known for his work in the film and television industry. He was born on 5 February 1986 in Karachi, Pakistan. His early schooling was in Hyderabad, Sindh, and he later graduated with an arts degree from the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore, Punjab. Adnan Kandhar is known for his contributions to Pakistani cinema, particularly focusing on socially relevant themes. He has directed several music videos, including Love Story ‘Love Story’ was a series that was telecast on SAB >> Read More... , Main Sufi Hun, Shikva, Dil Main Chumkey, Bulleya, Pass Aao, Sawwal, Mushkil, Kyun hai Inkaan, etc.

He also did cinematography in Nescafe Basement Season 1 in 2012 and behind-the-scene cinematography in Coke Studio Season 7 in 2014. He has produced quite some TV Commercials and the TV show OST. He has directed documentaries, i.e. "Chandu Aur Tiger" (2008) and "Sheedi Badshah" (2011). In 2010, Kandhar won the SZABIST Best Experimental Film Award for his short film, "Suspension of disbelief".

He earned a nomination for the Best Music Video Director for "Main Sufi Hun" (2013) at the 13th Lux Style Awards and at the 2nd Hum Awards, won the Best Music Video Award. Kandhar got his second nomination for the music video "Shikva" in the same category at the 3rd Hum Awards. In 2015 at the 14th Lux Style Awards, Adnan won his first Best Music Video Director award for "Dil Main Chumkey". He also remained a Jury Member of Bestival Film Festival 2015 and 2016. At the Royal Society of Television and Motion Picture Awards 2022, Kandhar’s music video "Buhat Din Ho Gaye" won the Best Music Video Award. He also won Best Video Director at the Tokyo Film Awards 2022. In 2024, Adnan was granted the prestigious Golden Visa of UAE by GDRFA and Culture & Arts.
