He studied at St. Pats College Karachi. He has also completed his MBA and PhD in Finance from the International University of Missouri, USA. He has been working as a Chairman of the Sindh Film Censor Board since 2020. He is also a veteran banker who worked in The Habib Bank Limited for ten years as the Regional Manager - of Asia Pacific, UK, and Oman for three years, as Director - of the Middle East Remittance Business for six years, and as Head FI & Global Remittances for one year.

He also served in the National Bank of Pakistan for 13 years as the Media Chief and SEVP / Group Chief - Global Home Remittance Management Group. He was also the chairman of NBP Exchange Company Limited from 2011 to 2022.
