Hailing from Shaistaganj, Habiganj SBriadar, Sylhet, Bangladesh, and living in Dhaka, Jhuna Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi Actor, Vice President at Sammilita Sanskrita Jote and Assistant General Secretary at International Theatre Institute ITI, Bangladesh. He finished his higher secondary education at Dhaka College in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Later, Jhuna studied Television Film and Media Production and graduated with Honours. He founded Natyakendra in Dhaka in 1990. He worked there as an actor and became the General Secretary. He accepted the job of Assistant General Secretary in 2016 at ITI. He also became a Presidium Member of the Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation. His acting career took off between 1971-1972 with the play Joy Bangla Sangsad.
After founding Natyakendra, he acted in several plays notably, Bicchu and Tuglok. Coming to Dramas and Films, Jhuna was first seen in the Tele-drama, Nivrito Jotoney, which was directed by Mohammed Zakariya. Jhuna later debuted in the film, Iye Korey Biye, directed by Zahirul Haque.
