Urdu Pakistani actor Haider Rifaat was born on July 3, 1995, in Fairfax, a small city in Virginia, USA. He is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. He did his bachelor’s in social science at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Technology and his master’s in communication at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has also earned a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. He has been a supporting actor in a number of films, dramas, and short films such as Kuch Sach Kuch Kahani (2019), Kaash (2019), 24 Hours The Film (2019), Hamaare Dada Ki Wasiyat (2020), Sabaat (2020), and Deeper Than Darkness (2021). He is also a journalist, writer, director, producer and editor.
He is the scriptwriter of the short films Kaash (2019), I Wish (2019), and Deeper Than Darkness (2021), all of which were also directed, produced, and edited by him. He has been the writer for OK! Pakistan, Arabian Moda, DAWN Images, and Flanelle Magazine, South China Morning Post. He hosts the YouTube podcast Conversations with Haider Rifaat and The Haider Rifaat Show, which is Pakistan’s first web talk show.
