Fakhar-e-Alam is a Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Actor, Video Jockey, and Host born on 19 January 1976 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. His maternal grandmother was Akleem Akhtar, also known as General Rani. His mother, Aroosa Alam, is a journalist, and his father worked in the Foreign Service of Pakistan. He studied for his school education in Islamabad and the United States. After a few years in the United States, he returned to Islamabad to complete his school education. He also went to study at Government College University in Lahore. He did an online course at the Harvard Business School in 2022 and earned an Alternative Investments certificate. He has been a resident of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) since 2004.

His career started as Pakistan's first rap artist with the music album RAP UP in 1996. He also debuted as a presenter in Pakistan's first pop chart TV show, Music Channel Charts. He then received the offer to present and write for Pepsi Top of the Pops (1995). His single, Bhangra Pao, a fusion of bhangra and rap music, became a hit in 1995. It also broadcasted on MTV. He was awarded a gold disc for his debut album and has been one of the most successful artists of EMI Records.

As an Actor, he is known for the movie Very Good Very Bad Log (1998) and the TV serial Do Biwiyan Ek Bechara (2018). He accepted the CEO position of an electronic media company in Karachi in 2004 and stayed there for three months. He later launched his production house by the name Industree Productions. He volunteered in humanitarian activities and relief work during the 2005 Kashmir earthquake. He is the second Pakistani celebrity invited to speak at Googleplex and became the first Pakistani celebrity to visit Facebook headquarters.

He became the first and only Pakistani to travel around the globe on a solo flight, which he called Mission Parwaaz. He aimed to make a flight to 30 airports around the world in a 28-day schedule. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor in Very Good Very Bad Log (1998), the Sitar-e-Eesaar (Presidential Medal of Sacrifice and Honour) in 2006, and Sitara-e-Imtiaz for hosting in 2022. He hosted the show Bolain Kya Baat Hai for GEO TV, Voyage of Discovery (2000), and the TV series Take One (2005).
