Atif Badar is a very versatile artist. He worked extensively on stage, made various voice-overs, played on mini screens, and headed to the big screen through Ramchand Pakistan. He began his career as a theatrical actor at Tehrike Niswan in 1993 and has worked with renowned directors in numerous plays. He also worked with the Casa Theater Company.
He currently works as a theatre and movement teacher, writer and director at three well-known educational institutions in Karachi. He also led two theatre workshops in Singapore. His session was the most popular session at the Children's Literature Festival (CLF). Atif writes 30 short plays and numerous songs and poems for children. One of his credible poems, "Aik thi Chunni, Aik thi Munni," was published in the children's magazine, Santara. Atif is also a great storyteller. He wrote about 15 short stories for children and conducted many storytelling sessions.
Since 2010, Atif Badar has been a theatre teacher / director with 135 short stories in various schools. Having staged a feature-length novel, Atif has also directed many dramatic plays. He recently won the CLF Outstanding Services Award for 6 years at CLF and continues to be part of the CLF held throughout Pakistan. He especially wrote the script and song for CLF Karachi in 2014 and directed the play "Chilghouzayaur Mouzay". The story and core ideas of this play were written by Amla Alam. Atif also worked as an acting coach and trained several television actors for the film. His only short play, “Desiromeo and Juliet” won the best drama and won the Best Actress Award at the famous Karachi High School Theatre Competition. A very talented Atif is also a culinary expert; his recipes have been published in renowned Pakistani newspapers and magazines.
