Saddhamangala Sooriyabandara was born on 19th June 1968. He was born in Watapuluwa, Sinhala. He is a Sri Lankan scriptwriter and media personality. Sooriyabandara has also worked in the fields of acting and songwriting. He received his education from St. Anthony’s College, Kandy. He has a lovely spouse, Chethani Priyanga Wijetunga. His father Lionel Sooriyabandara was a music teacher and sitarist. His mother is Sulochana Gamage. The parents met during their college time.
He has one elder brother, one younger brother, and a younger sister. He was a scriptwriter for the following: Amara Bavana (2001), Sorakama (2005), Sudu Gindara (2010),
