His career started with the film Sooriya Arana when he was just a child. But he was first recognized when he played Saraa in the series Nadagamkarayo. He won Most Popular Teledrama Actor in the Sumathi Awards for that. He is also known for his singing, dancing, and modeling. Sajitha later worked in films like Aba (2008), Gaadi (2019), Eka Gei Sokari (2020), and Sinhabahu (2024). As a singer he released his song “Swarnapaliye” which received over four million views on YouTube.
