Shubhdeep Sindhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, is a renowned Indian Playback Singer and an eminent personality in the Entertainment Industry famous for his distinctive and melodic vocals. He was born on June 11, 1993, to a Jatt Sikh Family. He is a native of the village Moosa in the Mansa district of Punjab. He graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana with Electrical Engineering. Sidhu completed his master’s at Humber College, Ontario, Canada. He was keenly interested in singing since childhood and hip-hop music was his favourite. He gained training in music under the guidance of Harvinder Bittu, Ludhiana.

He has worked primarily In the Punjabi Entertainment Industry and Cinemas, and is regarded as one of the greatest Punjabi Artists. He is a well-known Singer, Rapper, songwriter, and Actor. He also released his first album PBX1 under the T-Series banner in the pop music genre in 2018. The album became an instant hit and won the Best Album Award in 2019 at the Brit Asia TV Awards.

Following this, he released a series of songs under his label, like Legend, Chosen, Outlaw, 47, Siddhu’s Anthem, Mafia Style, Poison, Sohne Lagde, and Homicide. Sidhu officially launched his record label, 5911 Records, in August 2020. 

His second studio album was released in May 2020, titled Snitches Get Stitches, and the album was an instant hit. Songs like Baapu and GOAT were the audience’s favourite. Sidhu’s third album was released in May 2021, titled Moosetape, containing 32 tracks. Some of the well-known songs of the albums were Regret, Signed to God, Sindhu Son, Malwa Block, G-Shit, and 295. He was associated with the Indian National Congress in 2021 and contested the 2022 Legislative Assembly Elections for Mansa. Moosewala became the first Indian singer to perform at the Wireless Festival in London with Mist. His song Legend won the Best Track of the Year, and he received the Best Lyricist and Best International Male Award. The song 47, listed on the UK Singles Chart and New Zealand’s Hot 40 singles. Moosewala had an untimely death at the age of 29. He was found shot dead on May 29, 2022, by unidentified assailants.
