Labh Heera is a Punjabi folk singer and lyricist born on 2 June 1972, in Achanak village, Budhlada, Mansa in Punjab. His real name is Labh Singh Atwal. He attended a government elementary school in the village till fifth grade and completed his middle schooling at the government middle school in Kulana, Mansa. He went to Budhlada to complete his tenth grade. He used to skip half days of school to watch live shows. He attended Guru Nanak College Budhlada to complete his high school studies. He won many music contests for Guru Nanak College. Seeing his achievements, the National College, Bhikhi, offered him free admission to the College. He was also provided with many accessible facilities by the National college.
Heera used to perform at his friends’ wedding parties. Interestingly, his voice and killer stage charisma caught the eye of Anand Music company’s CEO. Later, he was offered a record. In 1994, Heera released his first Album, Khadi Teshan Te Rahagyi, which was popularly loved by the audience. He quickly became a fan favorite. In his entire career, as of yet, he has recorded over 400 songs which are widely loved by the audience. He's had more than 20 super-hit records. Gabru Da Dill Ro Peya, Ishq De Maare, Takke Takke te, Thanks, Ohda Banke Rah, and Tere Wargian are a few of his best-known albums. At the 2004 Annual Awards Canada and the Alam Lahore Award in Jalandhar, he won Best Folk Singer.
