Jaswinder Brar (full name Jaswinder Kaur Brar) is a prominent Punjabi folk singer of Indian origin. She was born in Kalanwali Mandi in Sirsa, Haryana. She is renowned for her folk and Bhangra songs and holds the title of Folk Queen. She has also sung religious songs. Her live shows have earned her recognition as Akharheya Di Rani, and she is well-known for her Lok Tatths. She began her musical career with the album Keemti Cheez in the year 1990. She has received numerous honors and, including the Shromani Punjabi Lok Gaaiki Award in 2010. She was also honored with the Sangeet Samrat award in 2006.
In the same year, she received a nomination for the PTC Channel Punjabi's music awards, where she won the award for Best Folk Oriented Vocalist (Female), and for her album Gallan Pyaar Dian, she won the Best Oriented Folk Album (Female). In 2000, she married Ranjit Singh Sidhu and took a brief hiatus from singing after giving birth to her daughter, Jashanpreet Kaur. Her other albums include Rondi Nu HorRava Ke, Tin Gallan, Ishq Mohabbat Yaari, Teri Yaad Sataave, Gallan Pyaar Dian, Jeonde Rehn, and many more.
