The beautiful singer was known for singing Punjabi folk songs in her melodious voice. Born on April 16, 1948, in Pathankot, Punjab, India, Jagmohan Kaur was widely appreciated for lending her melodious voice to several Punjabi folk songs. She became famous after songs like Bapu Ve Add Hunni Ain, Ghara Wajjda, and Gharoli Wajjdi. Before stepping into the world of music, she was a primary teacher in her native village. She learned music from Kanwar S. Mohinder Singh Bedi, after which she left her teaching job to become a full-time singer. She met K Deep, a famous singer of the 1970s, during her show in Calcutta and fell in love with her. She married him in 1971. Kaur breathed her last in 1997.
