Salil Amrute is an Indian Music composer and Programmer at Leo productions from August 2000. He predominantly works in Marathi and Punjabi movies. He has been a successful music programmer for the last 15 years. He has been providing and programming music for various films and serials. He is living in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra, India. He dedicatedly completed his education at Greens English School.

From the tender age of 9, Salil started learning Tabla from Ustad Zakir Hussain Institute. He practiced there for over six years. He also learned Piano from Mr. Robert Korea. To add on, he has also done a recording course from Mumbai University.

Salil Amrute has worked on various albums with artists like Shaan, Gursewak Mann, Alka Yagnik, Shankar Sawhney, Sonu Nigam, Santosh Kataria, Cheema, and so many. He has also arranged and programmed music remixes for Times Music, Tips, T-Series, and Universal. He was also engaged in serials like Karan the Detective, Nachle with Saroj Khan, Jodi Kamaal Ki, Sitaron Ki Jung, ZEE Sa Re Ga Ma, Indian Idol, Voice of India, and so many. He has been providing, and programming songs for music directors like Sanjeev Kohli, Raju Singh, Lalit Sen, Amar Mohile, Gunwant Sen, Sanjay Chowdhary, etc.

Salil Amrute worked for Mr. Amar Mohile on many film backgrounds as an additional programmer. The movies include Aap ka Suroor, Big Brother, Ek Challis Ki Last Local, Dus Kahaniyan, Speed, Risk, Singham, Kadachit, Vasudev Balwant Padhke, and Shoot Out at Lokhandwala (only trailer). Also, he worked for Mr. Sanjay Chowdhary on many film backgrounds. The movies include Maan Gaye Mughle Azam, Aa Dekhen Zara, Khalbali, Suno Na, Aloo Chaat, Hello Darling, Life Partner, and Chatursingh 2 Star.

He independently has done individual background scores for films including Koi Toh Apna Hota, Burnt (English film for BBC), Solace (UK English film for the film festival), Javai Bapu Jindabaad (Marathi), Koi Hai Wahaan (Ghost), etc. His projects also include Priyadarshan’s “TEZZ,” Hate Story (For Amar Mohile), Desi Munde (Punjabi Film), CID & ADALAAT (For Mr. Raju Singh), Shivaji (For Mr. Raju Singh), Indo-Western Album for a Canadian Company, and many more.

In 2014, he got the “Best Background Score Award” for Ishq Brandy’s movie. In 2015, he performed on the movie Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. In 2017, his releases included the film Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai and Bhavishyachi Aishi Taishi. Salil Amrute is known for Zila Sangur (2022), Mukkaddar (2022), Well Done Baby (2021).
