Ravi Deep is a writer, director, and actor from Firozpur in Punjab. He has directed, acted, written, and worked as a production designer in several telefilms and television series. He began acting in the theatres during his college days at Kapurthala. He with his friends made a small town famous for modern theater.

After acting in the theaters, Ravi upgraded to a producer, writer, and director. Some of the notable telefilms and television series which he produced and directed are- Taalluq (2019), Gunaah (2018), Sarnawan (TV series 2000), Samander Ki Rani (2007), and many more. He also wrote some great telefilms, short plays, and television series such as Aaghosh (1987), Taleem (1986), Rang Nagari, Satya Katha, and many more; Ravi Deep also worked as a voice-over artist and joined Doordarshan in 1983.

Ravi Deep pursued his Master's from Punjab University in Dramatic Arts. Later, he did a Master's in Political Science and M Phil. Ravi Deep was awarded and nominated for several awards for his commendable performance. In 2010, he won the Sahyadri Award (best in house fiction and nonfiction). He was also awarded the DD Award for Literary adoption in Samander Ki Rani (2008-2009).
