Although Gill was born to a Jatt-Sikh family on October 8, 1968, in Bathinda, Punjab, his home village is Gholia Kalan in the Moga district. He holds a Punjabi Master from Punjabi University. Indian director, screenwriter, producer, and songwriter Amardeep Singh Gill is known for his work in Punjabi music and film. With hit songs like Sili Sili Hawa, Je Mille Oh Kudi, Hanju, Socha Vich Tu, Ki Beeti Sade Nal, and Pyar Kar Ke, Gill launched his career as a songwriter.
