Jatinder Kaur is famously known for her acting skills and outstanding performances in several Punjabi movies like “Jhalle Pai Gaye Palle” and “Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal.” Born in 1950, Jatinder faced many hardships in her life as growing up in a patriarchal society was very difficult. In an interview, she talks about her problems because of her unsupportive in-laws. Her in-laws never had her back. Instead, they were against her career choice as they thought the acting was not a ‘respectable’ job for her. However, Jatinder mentions how her spouse has supported her art and remained continuous support throughout her journey. Even though Jitender was full of talent and confidence, the struggles of getting work were just as hard.

She worked for twenty years in Doordarshan Jalandhar, gaining popularity amongst her friends and neighbors. She played a significant role in the first-ever Doordarshan serial, "Supne te Parchanve,” which got the fame it deserved. However, her dream of becoming an actress was accomplished in 1998, when she received her first ever movie called “Purja Purja Kat Marey.” With her hard work and determination, Jatinder became a well-known actress, inspiring thousands of people. Her story gives us the courage to follow our dreams no matter how hard things get and teaches us that if we keep working towards our goals, nothing can stop us from achieving them.

Jatinder Kaur has acted in some Punjabi films like Super Singh (2017), Firangi (2017), Ashke (2018), Kala Shah Kala (2019), Munda Hi Chahida (2019), Kaali Khuhi (2020), Sidhus of Southall (2023), and many more.
