Barsha Mohini Das is a famous Odia dancer and winner of many beauty pageants. She started performing on stage when she was only two and a half years old. She was called Rasgola girl at the age of three. Her mother, Parvati Pattanayak, enrolled her in Orissa Dance Academy to learn Odissi from Padma Shree awardee, Late Guru Gangadhar Pradhan, at the age of four years. She is Mrs Kalinga Sundari 2022 and, Miss Rajo Queen 2013, and Mrs India Universe 2022 (1st runner-up) by Glam Guidance. She got married in 2020 to Rajendra Kumar Behera.
She won Odisha’s First Reality Dance Show, Little Miss Odisha 1999, and made her debut in an Odia Film, Sata Michha, as a child artist. She has been a part of group dances such as the Konark Dance Festival, Mukteswar Dance Festival, Dhauli Festival, and many more. She was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Award for Best Talent in Odissi, the Mrs India Kalinga Sundari Award, the Smruti Sadhana Women Achievement Award, and the prestigious Rath Yatra Festival Chattisgarh. She has performed ‘Aigiri Nandini’ on Siddarth T.V. She has won many trophies and certificates in all these years. Her mother and husband have been her great strength throughout her career.
