In 1981, Ranjana performed at Queen Elizabeth Royal Festival Hall in the UK. Ranjana also served in countries like Italy, France, Tunisia, Greece, Serbia, Cyprus, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Latin, Austria, Etc. Ranjana is fascinated with Painting, Production, and Choreography. Ranjana wrote a book titled Odissi- The Dance Divine. Ranjana is the Director and president of Utsav- Educational & Cultural Society. Ranjana Produced Thematic Productions like Om namah Shivaya, Kabir, Matsya Avatar, Chitrangada, and Multi-styled Productions like Samarpan, Nritya Dhara, and Thridhara.
Ranjana Gauhar received the Padma Shree in 2003, and in 2007, Ranjana received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award from the President of India. Padmashree Ranjana Gauhar is involved in Reputed National bodies like the Former Executive Board member of Kalakshetra Foundation (Chennai), expert member of the Ministry of Culture, and Former Executive Board member of Sangeeth Natak Akademy (SNA).
