Sujata Mohapatra, also known as Sujata Mohanty, is an Odissi classical dancer and teacher based in India. She was born on 27 June 1968 in Balasore, Odisha, India. She learned the art of Odissi from Guru Sudhakar Sahu. She married the son of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Ratikant Mohapatra. They had a daughter, Preetisha Mohapatra, who is also an Odissi dancer. Sujata performs in India and many other countries as a soloist and a leading member of the Srjan Dance Troupe, founded by her father-in-law.
In July 2011, she opened the institute Guru Keerti Srjan in her hometown, Balasore. She won numerous awards in her career called the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2017; the Nritya Choodamani from Krishna Gana Sabha in 2014; the Mahari Award; the Aditya Birla Kala Kiran Award, Mumbai; the Raaza Foundation Award, Delhi; the Hope of India in 2001; the Baisakhi Award; the Prana Natta Samman; the Raaza Puruskar in 2008; and many more.
