Mahaprasad Kar is an actor and a voice-over artist. He was born and raised in Cuttack, Odisha. He graduated from Derabish School. He did a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Business Management, Marketing, and related support. After that, he went to Utakal University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha for further studies. He started his career as a Voice-over artist in OTV Tarang TV. In 2016 he started working as an actor on Zee Sarthak. He won season 2 of the reality TV show Big Break. He also appeared on the TV serial " Savitri Click to look into! >> Read More... " on Tarang TV. He started working with Zee Sarthak. Then after six years, he continued his journey with OTV Tarang TV. In 2019 he won the Nirmala Award. He is also seen in music videos like "Prathama Dekha Re," "Dheere Dheere," "O Humnava," "Khushi Lage," "To Dehara Chhuanre," "Kali To Sathe Bi Thik Haba Emiti," "Odia Shiva Bhajan- Baba Nka Bhoga," "Banjara Heli Mu To Premare," "Prathama Prema," and "Alta Makhi."

He won the Odisha Music Award in 2019 for Romantic Face in Music Album. He won the 7th Jhankar Television and Cine Award 2019, for Best Actor for his performance in "Savitri." In 2020 he was honored at Remuna Mahotsav. He also appeared in the 2021 movie "Cuttack Weds Samabalpur," directed by Bappi David.
