Tapu Mishra was an Indian Ollywood playback singer. She was born on 11 January 1985 in Sambalpur, Odisha, India. She started to learn singing at a young age. She graduated with a music degree from Sambalpur University and then studied music at Gandharva Mahavidalaya. She took music lessons from Prabhudatta Pradhan and Gyan Ranjan Mohapatra.
She made her singing debut in an Odia Film named Kulia Nadan, after that, she eventually sang more than five hundred songs. She also sang songs in Bengali, Hindi, and other regional languages in addition to Odia. She has received 4 State Film Awards for singing. She performed in over 150 movies.
