Nepali Singer Aastha Raut

Aastha Raut is a singer from Nepal. She was born in Kathmandu capital of Nepal, on 30th April 1990, in Dolakha district, Nepal. She is the daughter of Nepali folk singer Hari Bahadur Raut and lyricist Sabitiri Raut. She completed her high school studies in Kathmandu. She also received a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Manipal Campion College. Her singing career began with her first remix ‘Saal ko Paata Tapari’ from the album collection Addiction 2, which became a hit. She did her second song ‘Maya Yo Maya’ from the movie Maya's Bar. Two other songs, Chaubandi Ma Patuki and Jhumke Bulaki of her album Aadhar also became super hits. She also sang songs in Nepali movies. She also won the award for the Best Pop Female Vocal (Hits FM Music Award 2014).
