The sitcom depicts the day-to-day life of the villagers living in a Nepalese hill village. It shows the problems and lifestyle of the rural areas of Nepal. In this serial, the character played by Sitaram Kattel, named Dhurmush, is a troublesome man who is always involved in some or other illegal acts. Every time he tries to flee, he ends up in the police custody of Thokthake Prahari Chauki. He realizes his mistake, but due to his habit of doing illegal work, he finds himself involved in another criminal activity at the end of the day. Suntali is known to be the social butterfly of the village, who knows everyone around her. 

The serial introduces another quirky character named Magne Budho, played by Kedar Ghimere. He frequently borrows things from other villagers and talks gibberish due to his missing front tooth. The other villagers include Magne's wife and her brother, Muiyya and Bandre, Balxi Dhrube, the chief fisherman of the village, and Mulako Saag and Chamsuri, Suntali's parents.
