Tanka Budathoki, born in Kathmandu, Nepal, is a Nepali singer, composer, and songwriter. He mainly sings in his native language, Nepali. Tanka started his music career at an early age and gained a lot of popularity in Nepal for singing in the genres of folk, pop, classical, and blues. He is a popular figure in his home country. He has collaborated with several artists in the Nepali music industry and has composed music for various Nepali films over the years.
Tanka also has been nominated for several awards throughout his career. In 2017, he was nominated for the Best Music Director Award at the Nepal Music Awards for his work on the film “Chapali Height.” He won in this category. He has released multiple single tracks throughout his career, some of which are Kasari Kasari, Man Bina Ko Dhan Thulo Ki, Rupai Mohani, Jhim Jhim Pareli, Kalo Kalo Gajal, Siruware Samjhana, Chumke Thaili, and many others.
