, is an actress working majorly with the roles of mother. She is famously known for working for the film, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! was released in 2008. She portrayed the role of a mother in the movie and played the character of Sonal’s mother. She then came up with another role of a mother in the film Piku, released in 2015. She played the character of Sansaari, Rana’s mother, in the movie.
She has portrayed many other roles of aunt and mother in other films like Aligarh (2015 film that won five awards and 21 nominations), Phullu (2017), Khandaani Shafakhana (2019 film), Slow Burn (2019 film that had two award nominations), Dolly Kitty and Those Twinkling Stars (2019 film that had six award nominations), and Mimi (2021 film that had 27 award wins and 20 award nominations). She plays the role of Nani Ji in the TV series Home Shanti.
