Karanvir Malhotra

Karanvir Malhotra is an Indian actor, recognized for his roles in “ Selection Day Selection Day is an Indian Hindi language web seri >> Read More... ” and “The Forgotten Army- AzaadiKeLiye”. He was born on 4th October 1995, in New Delhi, India. He did his initial schooling from The Air Force School, Subroto Park and remaining from Delhi Public School, Dwarka.

After completing school, Karanvir enrolled in Christ College, Bangalore. After a few days, he heard about Extra-curricular activity trials in theater, through which he got the opportunity in a prestigious college in DU. From there he started his understanding of his interest and curiosity about acting and theater.

After this, he pursued Bachelor in Commerce Honors from Sri Venkateswara College, DU. After completing half of his under graduation, he moved to Melbourne to his family. He started his early career working in Melbourne at the Indian Film Festival Melbourne and Mind-blowing films.

Alongside it, he started learning and pursuing theater and part of shows that were organized and performed at Venue La Mama Theater, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Short+ sweet film festival, etc. On the professional front, he faced the camera for the first time in a Cadbury commercial in 2016. He gave the audition but he didn’t get the part. Although, Tess like the audition and suggested him for an independent film “What Are the Odds” for which he went to Mumbai. After shooting the movie, he thought of going back to Melbourne but he subsequently auditioned for the role in Forgotten Army and got the part.

While he was about to finish the shooting for The Forgotten Army, Tess Joseph saw him at a restaurant and told him to audition for a Netflix series “Selection Day” originally a book written by Arvind Adiga. He got the role of Javed Ansari in the series. The series aired on Netflix in 2018. It was produced by The Anil Kapoor Films and Seven story’s media, London. His recent release is “What Are the Odds” on Netflix.
