Akshay Hariharan is the son of the Padma Shree awardee. Hariharan Ji. Akshay is a music director and made his first debut in a Marathi film, Kokanastha, in 2013. Akshay has done his education from Mumbai and Bnagalore. He has a high interest in electronic music, unlike his father, who is known for his classical and gazal singing. Akshay likes mixing and blending different genres of music and coming out with mind-blowing tracks.
He created a fusion with Indian classical instruments such as the Tabla, Sarangi and many more with electronic music. He is famously known as DJ I-ZEN. The father and son have recently done a Indo- polish film together. Apart from this film, they have performed live together in various music festivals where Hariharan ji sings classical bandish, and Akshay combines them with his electronic music.
