Kripall Sengupta

Kripall Sengupta is an Indian professional actor, creative director, and visiting lecturer. He hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He completed his school education at St. Pius X High School. After that, he went to Ramniranjan Jhujhunwala College, to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) in Botany/ Plant Biology (2000 - 2003. Later, he studied TV and video Productions, Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at Xaviers Institute of Communication (2007 – 2008). 

Kripall Sengupta was a casting director at UTV Films and Entertainment in Mumbai for six months (Apr 2005 – Sep 2005). He did casting for television serials for Hungama Channel and all UTV In-House Productions. Then, he worked as senior lead advisor at 3 Global Services Private in Mumbai for over a year (Mar 2006 – May 2007). His job involved Innovative Client Management, developing creative innovative skills, and scripts for client retention. As a Sr. Conceptualizer, Kripall Sengupta worked at Seventy Seven Entertainment Private Limited in Mumbai for over three years (Jun 2009 – Nov 2012). He was involved in team management, television non-fiction shows, conceptualizing ideas for property, all kinds of events, and ads, along with scripting, ideating, and executing many corporate films. He featured as creative director at Nyka Events Private Limited in Mumbai for two years (Oct 2012 – Sep 2014). 

Kripall Sengupta was a drama instructor at Bunt’s Sangha S.M Shetty Internationals in Mumbai for ten months (Jun 2017 – Mar 2018). He guided Cambridge Board students from first standard to twelfth standard in the role of visiting faculty for the courses of media, speech, and theatre. He also guided students with interesting exercises and fun innovative games to develop skills in theatre. He taught the importance of the craft and how it is beneficial to one's personal life. He was a visiting lecturer at Thakur College of Science & Commerce in Mumbai for five months (Jun 2018 – Oct 2018). He guided students for the course “Introduction to Media Project Management “ of B. A Film, Television, and New Media Production. In the role of visiting faculty member, Kripall Sengupta guided students for the course “Visual Communication “ at ToonsSchool, Kandivili Mumbai (Jun 2018 – Dec 2020) and “Direction in Television” &  “Introduction to Media Project Management “ at KES Shroff College (Jul 2018 – Nov 2018).

For the course of Masters in Mass Media, Kripall Sengupta is also guiding students in the role of visiting faculty at Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College, Ghatkopar, since July 2015. He is a freelance visiting lecturer at Don Bosco College BMS in Kurla, Maharashtra. he has been the visiting lecturer for First Year and Second Year Master Students of Mass Media at R. D. National College in Mumbai, Maharashtra, since Dec 2020. As a director & co-founder, Kripall Sengupta has been working at Magic Lamp Entertainment in Mumbai since Feb 2014. He has grown progressively with different roles in varied creative setups. He did television casting for UTV, nonfiction & fiction filmmaker, was innovative client management for corporate to conceptualizing events, and ideating ads & television shows to being a creative director with top agencies. As a creative director in leading agencies, he served international brands like Abbott, Sony, Skoda, J.P Morgon, BNP Paribas, and many more. In 2020, he acted in a mystery drama television series, “Sin,” in which he played the role of Palash.
