Swar Kokila Sharda Sinha is an Indian Maithili folk singer.On the 1st of October, 1952, she was born in Hulas, Raghopur, in the Supaul district of Bihar.She is well-renowned for her Maithili version of the Chhath Puja-themed song ‘Ho Dinanath’. She has sung songs in multiple languages like Hindi, Bangla, Nagpuri, Magahi, and Bhojpuri. She began her journey by singing Maithili folk songs. She sang numerous songs on the theme ‘Spring season’ at the ‘Basant Mohatsava’ organized by the Prayad Sangeet Samiti in Allahabad. She performed in front of the Prime Minister of Mauritius Navin Ramgoolam when he visited Bihar.

She used to perform during Durga Pooja often. She recently performed at the Pragati Maidan at the Bihar Utsav in New Delhi in 2010. In 1991, Sharda received the Padma Shri award for her contribution to music. She was also awarded India's third-highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan, on the eve of Republic Day, 2018.
