Bhaskar Jyoti Das is the co-writer of two award winning films from Assam, Handuk (2016) and 'Sonar Boran Pakhi' (2016). He studied Dental Science by chance. He was a brilliant student. He thought of having a safe and secured life. He was working part time as a programmer for All India Radio, Guwahati. He explored the theatre, television and the cinema in Guwahati with renewed interest. He wrote two radio plays for YUVABANI, All India Radio, and Guwahati. He grew up in the small town of Tangla, Assamas, an introverted child. He liked to write poems and wrote them for newspapers. Later he developed as one of the most interesting screenwriters from the Northeastern part of India.

The script titled "The Puppet Theatre" got selected for the GREEN SCREEN LAB 2012. The film was about Assam's puppet folk culture. Till matriculation, he had homesickness and stayed at home his entire life. He thought about being a teacher in the future. He meets Gyanpith winner Dr. Birendra Kumar Bhattacharjya in a Sahitya Sabha Meeting in his native town. His father's childhood friends, writer Bhadra Bora and well-known lyrist Tafazul Ali inspired him subconsciously and he cherished his creative world. He tried to explore the world of art, like theatre, cinema and, of course, books.

He also started to like the works of Italian journalist and writer Italio Calvino. At the time, only Doordarshan's Sunday Regional film slot was his film world that time. He never missed any regional film unless there was an electricity problem and electricity problems still existed in his native town. Mobile theatres also attracted me. He started his next step from Guwahati and then moved to Delhi. He meets a couple of well-known people later and they introduce him to the world of creativity. He became famous for The Hidden Corner (2016).
