Axl Hazarika, born and raised in Guwahati, Assam, began his musical career in 2008. He is a musician, lyricist, composer, director, producer, and singer. Axl Hazarika is an avant-garde musician and filmmaker. His electronic music is considered a pioneer in Northeast India. In 2008, he released his first Assamese metal song - Joi Aai Axom - on his album Elektrokore. Hum Badal Gaye, the music video of Axl Hazarika, was released exclusively on VEVO in June 2013. With the release of his psytrance set "Trippy Experience" on SoundCloud, Axel Hazarika started an electronic dance music project called Rainbow Trip in late 2015. It quickly rose to the top of SoundCloud Trance charts and stayed at number one for 12 consecutive weeks. In May 2016, Axl released Goru Bihu Song as Rainbow Trip, his first Assamese folk EDM. The music video garnered over one lakh views within the first week's release.
Songs in Assamese were the first to be composed and released by Axl. 'Joi Aai Axom' denounced the act of terrorism in Assam. Axl released many singles following the 2008 Assam bombings, like Matribhoomi, dedicated to the departed souls. The B-deshi single, a song about illegal immigrants in Assam, is a hit single. Maha Kali and Jai Shiv Shankara are blended with electronic music, metal, and Sanskrit Shlokas.
