Tanuj Nath is an Assamese director, music director, actor and director of photography. He was born on August 4, 1995, in Guwahati, Assam. He studied Mass Communication and Journalism(2017-2019) from Tezpur University, Assam.
Tanuj started making music videos and short films at a young age along with friends who also had the same interests. They formed a group and called it ‘Flashback’. Tanuj contributed passionately to different projects of the group, involving cinematography, music, storytelling, direction, script etc.
He has directed and created music for the feature film, ‘Made In Malbari’(2022), directed and produced the documentary, ‘The Unsung Tune of Doyang-Tengani’(2019), the experimental film, ‘ROT’(2018), and the short film, ‘The Mistake’(2018).
He has also written the script of ‘The Mistake’, which was selected as a nominee in the Beta Movement: International Student Film Festival, New Delhi. Tanuj is an independent filmmaker and teaches electronic media and film studies at Dibrugarh University, Assam, at the position of an Assistant Professor.
