Manoj Gogoi was born on 15 December 1984 in a small town Nitai Pukhuri Dihingia, Sivasagar Assam. He is the eldest son of the late Kamal Chandra Gogoi and Mrs. Runu Gogoi. Manoj is a graduate of political science from Dibrugarh University. He also holds a photography license. His first debut was as a child actor in a children's play called Andha Lara John. He hit the road of a professional actor in 1998. Aside from an actor he is also a voice over artist and creative director. He enrolled in a workshop at the National School of Drama conducted by actor Pranjal Saikia.

Manoj had worked in Assamese films like Konwar puror konwar, Hiya diba kak, Bahniman, Borolar Ghar and over 20 serials in his career. He also played roles in mobile theatres and video songs. Manoj Gogoi is a popular Assamese actor. He was born on 15th December 1984 to the late Kamal Chandra Gogoi and Runu Gogoi in Dihingia, Assam. During a vacation competition in his 6th grade, Manoj made a play called Andha Lara John. Acting in this play gave a kick-start to his career at an early age. Manoj completed his formal education at Dibrugarh University with a Bachelor’ Degree in Political Science. He acted in a Mobile Theatre for approximately three years, and then took on a workshop in The National School of Drama since 2009. Actor Pranjal Saikia and many other NSD trainers were in charge of this event. Besides being a professional actor, Manoj also assumed the role of a voice-over artist, story writer, creative director, vlogger and photographer (with Licenses & Certifications) over the years.

He has also worked on many films and series as Chief Assistant Director. Manoj began his career in 1998, working only for Dibrugarh Doordarshan and Guwahati Doordarshan. His big break was in 2002, when he got the chance to act in a short film called Sati Radhika directed by Anjali Das, which had won the Rajat Kamal award later. Since then, Manoj has appeared in over 13 Assamese films, approximately 20 serials, video songs, Hindi serials and theater. Manoj Gogoi is known for his roles in films such as, Ahetuk (2015), Bahniman (2016) and Konwarpurar Konwar (2017). His most recent gigs are Rhino Express (2022) and Kokki (2022). Reality of Life is a short film released in 2022, which was written and directed by him.
