Lara Dutta is an Indian model, actress, and winner of a beauty pageant. She was born on 16th April 1978. She won the title 'Miss Universe' in her teens in 2000. Lara’s first Bollywood movie was ‘Andaaz’ which was a huge success. Lara won two awards for the movie. They are- The 'Filmfare Best Female Debut Award' and 'Screen Best Female Debut Award'.

Former Miss Universe was born in a Punjabi family and her mother was an Anglo-Indian. While a few movies weren’t a big hit Lara managed to bag quite a lot of hits in Bollywood. She also signed a Tamil film, ‘Arasatchi’ which released in 2004. Lara’s films like Masti (2004) and Kaal (2005) did fairly well. Other films like No entry (2005) and Housefull were a super hit and she was critically praised for her work. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom in 2007 and Billu in 2009 received mixed reviews. In spite of that Lara’s roles in all movies were exceptional.

In 2006, she signed for Bhagam Bhag and in 2009 for Blue, which once again, left the audience speechless with her sense of humor and her body. Chalo Dilli (2011) and David (2013) were not a huge success but her acting skills were exquisite. Lara has also signed up for a sequel for No Entry named; ‘No entry Mein Entry’. Lara married Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011 and has a beautiful daughter. Lara will soon appear in a new movie ‘Azhar’ which will be releasing in 2016.
