ORE AST REW

- Neatly scripted story
- The performances are good
- The second half has some solid performances and message
- Some logical loopholes here and there
Govinda Govinda is a romantic comedy entertainer directed by Thilak. Sumanth Shailendra, Bhavana Menon, Kavitha Gowda, Ajay Ghosh, Achyuth Kumar, Roopesh Shetty, Kaddipudi Chandru, Pawan, and Vijay Chendoor are cast. It is the remake of the hit Telugu film, “Brochevaruvarura.”
The film comes with a couple of parallel stories. A college students’ gang tries to help one of their friends, who has run away from her home. The other story has an aspiring director who has been longing to do a film with the leading heroine, Padmavathi.
The lead couple, Sumanth Shailendra and Kavitha Gowda played pretty well, and their on-screen chemistry is quite decent. Bhavana showcases her talent and proves her experience in the field. Vijay Chendoor, Pawan, and Chandru have done a fantastic job.
The film has a different storyline, and the screenplay is neat. The director has made some changes from the original to suit the Kannada sensibilities. The film has all the emotions, comedy, relationship, affection, etc. While the first half has some jolly stuff, the second half has some message with exciting explanations. The film is technically sound. The production values are good too.
What’s Not There?
Govinda Govinda has an exciting plot with good actors. The direction is effective. Govinda Govinda – watch-worthy!
