Dear Sathya is scripted and directed by Shiva Ganesh. Ganesh Papanna, Srinivas Bindiganavale, Ajay Apparoop, and Aryann Santosh produced the film. Aryann Santosh, Archana Kottige, Aruna Balraj, Ashwin Rao Pallakki, Arvind Rao, and Gururaj Hoskote are featured in the movie. Sambhram V. Sridhar composed the music. Vinod Bharathi cranked the camera, and Suresh Arumugam edited the film.

Plot

Sathya works as a food delivery executive. He is a person who loves to maintain relationships. He is much fond of his mother and shares a good bonding with his friends. He also has a lady love. Due to some situations, his life tumbles, and he turns into a killer. He searches for people who wronged him to murder them. What happened in Sathya's life? Why does he hunt people? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

Aryann has given his best. His expressions and body language are fantastic. Archana Kottige excels in her role and so does Aruna Balraj. Aruna's emotional performance is impressive. Ashwin Rao Pallakki and Arvind Rao did justice to the assigned roles.

Analysis

While listening to the outline, it might appear to be a regular revenge story. But, the makers had inserted a lot of thrill, twists, and suspense in the story to make it more engaging. The screenplay is fast-paced, and the execution is quite decent. The characters are excellently written, and the casting team had placed the right actors to the well-written characters. The cinematography and editing are impressive. There are a lot of commercial elements added to make the film get a good appeal. If those insertions had been avoided, it would have been better.

What's There?

  • The story, screenplay, and direction are impressive
  • The performances of the stars are good

What's Not There?

  • Forcedly inserted commercial elements

Verdict

The movie would have appealed real if the team had avoided the unwanted commercial elements. However, the film is watchable once for the stars' performances and quick screenplay!
