Abhishek Arvind Kelkar is a director, screenplay, writer and dialogue writer. The artist is well-known for his works in the Marathi film industry. The director started his journey by joining a theatre. Kelkar started his directorial journey by directing famous plays. He first directed an acclaimed play, Nyani (2005). Next, he directed Bisavi Sadi Ka Katha Kolaj (2006), and then another Marathi play, Andharun Alya Divasan Vishayi (2007). Kelkar then started working in the Hindi and Marathi film industry.
